CoinSource, a digital currency ATM network, announced its first bitcoin ATM installed in New York at the Staten Island Ferry’s Whitehall Terminal. The machine became company’s third BTM with two others located in Las Vegas and Chicago.

Installed in the lower Manhattan, the brand new bitcoin ATM can be a good opportunity for 22 million people travelling between boroughs by the Staten Island Ferry to have instant access to digital currency, a CoinSource Managing Partner Sheffield Clark believes.

CoinSource bitcoin ATM offers attractive rates and a relatively low 7% fee. The fee can be reduced for large volume purchases.

According to Clark, the company has recently applied for BitLicence and can now operate legally in the state of New York:

“Bitcoin ATM users can have total confidence in using CoinSource machines, which allow for convenient, instantaneous transfers and adhere to cutting-edge security standards. We greatly look forward to serving the residents and businesses of New York for years and years to come.”

The company is a partner of Coinsetter, one of the world leading bitcoin exchanges.
