According to the official press release Coinbase has partnered with Vogogo risk management and payment processing company.

Vogogo is a Canadian cryptocurrency company and payment processor based in Calgary. The news came after Coinbase announced on Monday that they expand services to Canada. No mention of Vogogo was made at that time. We covered recently the story about the bitcoin exchange service Kraken that started providing bitcoin trading services in Canada through the partnership with Vogogo.

Today Coinbase has come to Singapore expanding the bitcoin exchange to the Asian market, as reported by some media outlets. Coinbase has not so far confirmed or denied this when reached out to by Coinfox. Singapore has not been added to the list of countries where Coinbase's service is supported on the company's website. John Mardlin, one of the two Coinbase employees in Canada, confirmed on Reddit that the official Singapore launch is planned for later this week.

“We never announce product releases or country expansions until the moment of launch. In this case a few media outlets have jumped the gun and leaked information about the upcoming support for Singapore. Yes, it's happening. Hopefully this week,” another Coinbase-related user wrote on Reddit.

“When we do launch, we'll post on blog.coinbase.com and update our support articles and relevant parts of the site. Because the specifics may change between now and launch, we won't be answering any questions about it until then,” he added.

Vogogo  finalized in May 2015 a partnership with Aurfy Inc., a payment processor focused on facilitating payments from Asia. One might speculate that Coinbase teamed up with Vogogo to cover two new geographical regions in Singapore and Canada at once.

CoinFox reported that the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), recently referred to bitcoin and blockchain as a big trend with a great impact on finance.
