The blockchain meeting scheduled for 26 August in Helsinki is expected to gather many prominent industry players, representatives of LocalBitcoins and Bitnation among them.

The conference is aimed at promoting information about the blockchain technology and its main advantages and investment potential among the wide audience.

The event is organised by blockchain and cryptocurrency media resource CoinTelegraph. The sponsors include Hashflare.io cloud mining platform, Microsoft and Finnish non-profit association of venture capitalists FIBAN.

The conference is a one-day event. The participation is free but requires pre-registration due to the limited number of places — no more than 200 people.

The list of participants includes Lead Ambassador at Bitnation Erik Vollstädt, Co-Founder and CEO of one of the largest bitcoin exchange platforms LocalBitcoins Nikolaus Kangas, a representative of Augur decentralised trade platform Peronet Despeignes, Founder and Director at decentralised platform for publications DECENT Matej Michalko, CMO at the investment blockchain platform Funderbeam Mads Emil Dalsgaard and many others.

“Our goal is to give insights on the state of early stage investing in startups working with Blockchain technology. As well as get an understanding from the audience of what kind of companies they are most interested in,” Dalsgaard explained.

The conference will host several panel discussions. One of them will be dedicated to the basics of the blockchain technology, smart contracts and Ethereum ecosystem. The second discussion will be focused on the existing “revolutionary projects” in the blockchain sector and their perspectives. The third talk will touch upon the investment potential of the industry, startup deals statistics, investment dynamics and the market volume of the segment. The conference will finish with startup pitches and a special evening event.
