On 23-24 August, an island in the centre of Kiev will host the Tethys Festival of electronic music and innovations, featuring bitcoin.

The Festival will take place on the Trukhanov Island, a green oasis in the heart of the Ukrainian capital. The website of the event lists six highlights of the festival: a nonstop concert of electronic music, the Technoshop introducing guests to various technological innovations and allowing to try them out, the Big Bazaar with all sorts of gadgets and souvenirs, a food court with lots of tasty treats, a geocaching contest and, finally, bitcoin. According to the organisers, it would be possible to pay with bitcoin for any purchase on the festival grounds.

The website lists two more cryptocurrencies to be accepted for payments during the festival – Ethereum and NXT.

A ticket to the festival will cost 100 hryvnias (4 USD).
