The digital notarisation service integrates Ethereum and moves its certification service to a new domain Stamp.io, improving scalability and dropping any fines for its use.

Records digitised by Stampery will now be kept not only in the bitcoin blockchain but in the Ethereum ledger as well, which, according to the company, makes settlement “faster and even more secure.” But this is not the only feature of the “new super powered API” announced on the company blog.

The scalability has increased hundredfold compared to the previous versions, says Stampery. The blockchain timestamping architecture (BTA) enables the company to process a billion data sets per second generating a unique proof for each individual data set.

The certification service moved to the new domain Stamp.io, with a “brand new interface” created with the goal of making the “blockchain timestamping service even cleaner and easier to use.” It is also the reason why Stampery decided to drop some lesser-used features such as government ID verification or Dropbox integration, says the blog post.

Four services offered by Stampery include proof of ownership, proof of existence (certifying that a document, an email or a data set existed at a certain point in time), proof of integrity (certifying that the data has not been modified) and proof of receipt (certifying that the email has been opened by the receiver).

Finally, Stamp.io is now completely free. Earlier, up to 10 items per month could be notarised for free, while notarisation of up to 1000 items would cost $9.90 per month.

The company declared its commitment “to the mission of making it seamless for everyone to authenticate any data.” It believes it has made an important step towards this goal.
