Inside Bitcoins, a bitcoin conference taking place in South Korea, holds a bitcoin start-up competition with five participating companies.
The event takes place on 10 December, writes Bitcoin Magazine. The companies taking part in the competition are Bitholla, KoreanBuddy, WageCan, Epsilon Technologies and Coin Trade.
Bitholla is a social payment application that uses bitcoin. It means that the application creates user list allowing users to interact with each other and find people to transact with. The company encourages users to share their bitcoin addresses. Bitholla was first launched in July 2015.
KoreanBuddy is a company that facilitates buying South Korean production and shipping it around the world. It helps customers from abroad find their way to the products they need in the Korean market, get information about the market itself and receive goods from Korea, including those only shipped within the country. The company accepts bitcoins alongside with fiat currencies. But Chris Williams, co-founder of KoreanBuddy, said in an interview to Bitcoin Magazine that nowadays the ambiguity of bitcoin-related legislation in South Korea may become an obstacle for a wider adoption of this cryptocurrency in the country.
WageCan is a Taiwan-based team offering bitcoin wallets for web and mobile applications and producing bitcoin debit cards. The company focuses on technologies for spending bitcoins. Its debit card allows the owner to withdraw their bitcoins at any of the 30 million ATMs in 210 countries around the world in local fiat currencies.
Epsilon Technologies is a company founded back in 1993 that performs market analysis. It allows brands to analyse trends and make more profitable investments.
Coin Trade aims to create a global bitcoin exchange platform service by January 2016. The company attempts to involve more people into using bitcoin by simplifying exchange process and creating a secure digital wallet.
Inside Bitcoins is a show dealing with innovations in the sphere of digital currencies. This time the conference takes place on 10-11 December in Seoul. The last Inside Bitcoins event in 2015 is scheduled for 14-16 December in San Diego. New York and Hong Kong will house the conference in April and May next year.
