The Chamber of Digital Commerce, a New York-based trade association which promotes the interests of the digital asset industry in Washington, announced a partnership with Gide, a consulting firm, to improve the state level legislation and regulatory agenda.

According to the press release, this strategic partnership will help the Chamber to operate more effectively in the legislation framework and encourage further development of bitcoin and the blockchain technology. Gide is a public affairs consulting firm, helping companies to create advanced business strategies and managing compliancy issues.

Maria Perrin, Principle of Gide, commented on the partnership:

“Gide’s mission is to help startups that operate in highly regulated areas navigate government roadblocks. The digital currency industry is at a critical juncture as states such as California, North Carolina and New York start to create a regulatory framework that is not always friendly to the industry.”

Perianne Boring, Founder and President of the Chamber of Digital Commerce, believes that this partnership is a great step for the growth of the digital currency industry:

“We believe that having Gide’s focus and support on the state legislative and regulatory agenda will be incredibly beneficial to our membership given the increased activity we have seen in recent months by states that seek to set new standards for our industry.”

The Chamber of Digital Commerce was founded to protect the interests of the bitcoin community on the Capitol Hill. The range of Chamber’s members includes bitcoin exchanges, wallet providers, software companies, payment processors, miners, different financial institutions and investors.
